  • Heritage or OP beans/peas offered

    Hi chaps,

I'm sorry to anyone that I've promised seeds to, been a bit kerfuffled and therefore delayed in sending. I've now caught up with myself and I believe I have replied to everyone to let them know "woss gahn on"

If however, you are expecting me to have replied and you haven't got a PM, could you give me a kick and I'll get back to you.

Those whose addresses I already have should see their bundles through by the end of the week, Royal Mail willing. Packages are made up for those whose addresses are missing, so that shouldn't be much longer.

Happy growing everyone and thanks for making some more space in my seed box!

    ******
I still find myself with more seeds than I reasonably could expect to grow barring a fairy godmother bestowing me with an acre or seven. So I think I could package up a three or four x a couple of dozen of any of the following varieties:

Climbing French Bean Poletschka saved 2006 from HSL - *update still got plenty left, found another bag!*
Climbing French Bean Kew Blue saved 2007 from HSL - *pretty much gone*
Dwarf French Bean Ferrari Seeds Of Italy (not 100% certain is OP) - *buckets of it still left thanks to Seeds of Italy's generous packets*
Dwarf French Bean Triumph de Farcy Tuckers *all still there, but I have germination concerns with this so I think I'll withdraw it*
Pea Little Marvel Wallis *plenty left*
Pea Kent Blue saved 2006/7 from HSL *pretty much gone*

*Tomatoes and chilli still mostly to spare*
I've also got some tomatoes spare but I can't be precise about quantities and it's becoming a bit late for these of course:
Salt Spring Sunrise saved 2005 from HSL
    Ballerina saved 2006 from HSL
Italian Heirloom saved 2007 from Seeds of Distinction
    Veeroma saved 2005 from HSL
Sub Arctic Plenty saved 2006 from HSL
    Peremoga saved 2007 from HSL
Koenig Humbert saved 2007 from HSL
Brooks Special saved 2007 from HSL

Chilli Trifetti saved 2007 from HSL

The home saved seeds have been done carefully but they are only in good faith! If anyone is interested, PM me with just the varieties you would like and quantity and I'll see what I can do depending on how much people want.

(updated Sunday 13 April 1315 as some seed has gone, updates are in *asterisks*)
(updated Monday 21 April as have rehomed most of the "sowable now" stuff)
(updated Sunday 04 May as all gone and been delayed in sending)

I *think* I've responded to all those who have PM'd me - if anyone else is interested, hold your horses for now until I've packaged up those I've promised to so far, and I'll post up again at the weekend if there are still any remaining.

Thanks for those who were interested - I am so pleased to be able to pass on these varieties and know they'll be appreciated

Thanks Flummery! It's rather new..I always trail off with my written notes on the garden and thought I'd try sharing things on a blog this year, so I am still finding my way and surprised how both time consuming and addictive it is!

I've made up packages for all those who have asked so far, hope to post tomorrow, and I'll see if I can edit my original post to update the list of what I still have left to share.

            Happy growing, all!

Whoops! On my second visit I noticed the picture of the hop vine! Just shows you - some people learn visually and some verbally - I'm evidently a verbal!

Hi Bugs, thank you SOOO much. The seeds arrived safely today. I shall play with them for a bit (well, you have to stroke beans don't you?) Or is it just me?

I think most of the first batch have made it to their new homes (thanks very much for the PMs to confirm). If anyone who asked more than a week or so ago is still waiting let me know.

The other few people who have pm'd me more recently - I should be able to send most of what you wanted this week, the only one I may not be able to send is Kew Blue - tomatoes, peas and Poletschka bean and dwarf beans are fine.

So if you have asked, and not yet sent me your address, drop me a PM with your details and I should be able to post something by Wednesday. I will get back to you all individually too, but thought I'd put up a quick update for all.

I think that's about all I can do though so unfortunately no new requests now, sorry - with luck and a good season I will be back next spring with more spares and I hope you all enjoy growing and sharing these varieties too

Thanks Bugs - what goes around comes around as they say - I'm hoping to be able to make a few of my 'new' varieties available to grapeviners next year. God Bless the Heritage Seed Libray (and all generous seed savers) say I!

Apologies to anyone who has been waiting for either a parcel or a reply - I had a few things come up unexpectedly and got behind.
