  • Oca tubers offered

    Hi,

I've got around 40ish Oca tubers that I was going to take to a seed swap only I'm not going to make it. I got 6 tubers last year from Real Seeds and these are the offspring - herself is not impressed with the eating of them so I won't be growing it again!

If your interested let me know - if you have any sweetcorn seed (25ish) spare, preferably of an open pollinated variety even better and if a couple of people want smaller amounts maybe I can split them up into 2, 3 or 4 lots.

I planted these in late April last year so theres still loads of time to get them in the ground!!

just let me know if you're interested and we'll take it from there

    cheers,

    KC

        Hi Chris,

Your welcome to all of them, the bipolar sweetcorn from real seeds is the one variety I've got at the mo, so any other SC variety would be great, It's just to have something different, possibly getting ripe at a different time to the above.

Please PM me with your addy and I'll get them in the post on Monday,

        all the best,

        KC

After harvesting in December, I put the tubers in a sunny spot for a couple of weeks and then steamed them. I would describe the flavour/texture as lemony, slightly starchy potatoey, if that helps.
