I am fruitlesly searching for cleome seeds. I have carob seeds to swap as well as fabulous climbing vine seeds whose name I do not know (sorry). The vine grows amazing purple pods and beautiful flowers by the late summer and fall in the south. The carob seeds will sprout if they are treated with TLC. The seeds are hard and need a little shaving and soaking in warm water to encourage sprouting.

Hello Ginalee and welcome to the vine. Could you edit your user profile to include your location please as this can help when you ask for advice on things. I am sorry, I can't help with your seed query but your vine sounds interesting.Last edited by shirlthegirl43; 13-06-2008, 04:49 PM.Happy Gardening,

Location is useful as it is illegal to send seeds to the US, South Africa and Canada without certification. There are also some seeds which are illegal to import into certain countries too.http://www.freewebs.com/notesfromtheplot/ **updated**

Ginalee, I'm guess you are in the US? You must be able to get Cleome seeds over there. I wouldn't know where to look for stockists in the US, but here's a link that might point you in the right direction: Floridata: Cleome hasslerianaAll gardeners know better than other gardeners." -- Chinese Proverb.
