  • Wanted- Spider Plant cuttings

    Hi,

I know this might be a long shot, but I have been frantically searching for a Spider Plant. I know it's a rather common houseplant but I can't find one ANYWHERE!. If anyone has any cuttings they could send me I would be oh so grateful.

I don't really have any seeds to swap, but I can send an SAE if i can get to the Post Office.

    Thanks SO much

spider plant,i have had these for a number of years,at one point filled the dining table, was my pride and joy,all the little plantlets spilling from the pot above the foliage and trailing on the table top, mmmmmm it it looked good,it is these little plantlets that you pot on for new plants, not cuttings,in spring/summer the plant will produce long stems with white flowers on,and then the plantlets,if you wait long enough they grow roots, you can also pop them into a shallow container of water, this will help the roots to develop quicker,at the moment my ones are a bit neglected, they have risen out the pots and need to be sorted out, they have not had any babys for a while ,so i will have to give them some care, you will get a nicer display if you put several plantlets in 1 pot,say 5 to a 5in,you could have a look in the house plant expert by dr.hessayon, hope you find some soon.
sigpicAnother nutter ,wife, mother, nan and nanan, love my growing places, seed collection and sharing, also one of these
