Have always received everything that has been promised to me and as far as I'm aware have sent everything out. When I've received anything I've then sent a PM to the individual involved to say it's arrived but have noticed that this isn't particularly common practice and have probably only had about 50% confirmation from those to which I've sent so no idea if they actually arrived or not.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

First, I hope I have sent out all my swaps as I to have a memory like a goldfish. Do PM me if I have forgotten someone!
I think it is helpful if swappers send a PM making it clear what they are sending and what you are sending them as well of course your addresses to reduce any possible confusion.
I think that is a good idea about confirming if you have received seeds to. I certainly appreciate that.

It all helps if swappers know exactly where they stand and then maybe there will be less
disappointments. I think most of us busy swappers have very good intentions and maybe better communications might help.

I must admit that I put seeds up for swap or people could have them for free if they wanted and I did swap with Danmon 81 successfully.

However if anyone wanted them for free, I would expect to get an SAE to send them in. It's not that I'm tight (really) but if I had ten different people asking, then that's going to cost me a few quid in postage and to be truthful I don't have a few quid spare.

Different matter if they were all going to one address, then I would gladly just send them and I'd pay the postage.

Am I looking at this the wrong way?
I am certain that the day my boat comes in, I'll be at the airport.

No Stacey Steve, sounds a good way of looking at it to me. Some people offer to send for free but I think it is polite to at least offer to send a sae, as you say, it can mount up in cost.

For my sins, I have neither a swapper or swappee been to date. However, my feng shui teacher once said to me, do not give to recieve, but what you give away from your own free will you will recieve back 10 fold. I understand what she means, that sometimes you will receive a gift, sometimes you will receive a thank you, and sometimes you will make a friend. The latter is by far the most rewarding of all.
I'm only here cos I got on the wrong bus.

I think this thread title might attract some disappointed people via Google

Should I upload a picture of my car keys, instead of some plants?

I feel sorry someone has let you down. I love swapping and have mostly received a swap back. It must be very disappointing, especially if it is the same person.

Best of Luck for your future swapping.

I have sent seed's to swap and not recieved a couple of times , i don't expect seed's back all the time.It is a bit disappointing when waiting for some that never arrive though, but i have a lot more growing in my garden than i could afford to buy so im pretty happy.

I normally send seeds without worrying about a swap, but if there is a intresting swap I will do so,but I don't think I have forgotten anyone.Oh God old age creeping in!!
The greatness comes not when things go always good for you,but the greatness comes when you are really tested, when you take, some knocks, some disappointments;because only if youv'e been in the deepest valley can you ever know how magnificent it is to be on the highest mountain.

                              Interesting.

There was someone on here a few weeks back who went through all the seed swap threads posting about swaps; even digging up really old threads. It wasn't them was it???

actually i've just realised i sent some seeds to that person too Andrea, and i didn't get any back, see i guess that's how much notice i take lol ..... i don't mind sending seeds without a swap. but yeah, not sending them after agreeing is not good.
