Oh - yes please Lynda - let me know when they're ready and I'll send sae unless there is something of interest I may have for you - and we can do the postie swap?
can borage be used as a liquid fertiliser or cut down as a mulch or put in the compost heap, ive ended up with loads of it, i think i got confused with comfrey
Thanks, but no thanks. I sowed some in the border 3 years ago (blue borage & white borage). It's lovely, and the bees love it, but I found that once you've planted it you've got it forever as it self-seeds freely.

that's the idea, i've got a patch of wild growing flowers, (and theres even a few pink flowers) in the garden, they seed themselves and grow wild to attract insects, and you should be able to stop them, you just have to dead head regularly, then they won't produce seeds, or pull them up when they grow, but they are pretty, and do take up a fair bit of room. But bumble bees love them.

dunno, i think you can eat it and apparently people put the flowers in pimms. (i haven't been brave enough to eat flowers yet, but maybe in time lol ..... i'm having enough trouble working out what to do with herbs.
I've been looking for uses for this herb and have found the following interesting recipes - quite a lot actually - so there's plenty to whet the whistle!
maybe i should try some of them, just to see, i wasn't able to manage munching on nasturtiums, so dunno if i'll manage it ............ (i can save some seeds from dark red nasturtiums too if anyone wants any, but they are massive ones, i pulled a load up the other day, cos they were taking over, each plant is about 2-3 foot in all directions)
yeah no probs, thanks let me get the seeds first, was mostly trying to get an idea of numbers, or if anyone even wanted any, i'll go out and look tomorrow in case theres any already....... i'll be away for nearly 2 weeks, so i'll sort it when i get back.
