  • seeds wanted for primary school

    hi everyone, i help with the north cove and barnby primary school's veg gardens and wondering if anyone has
    feltman first peas
    beetroot
    carrots ( if poss the purple variety if not any kind will do )
    strawberry
    and anything a bit unusual but easy to grow as they are very young kids
    we have to swap
    pepper ring of fire
    swiss chard
    cabbage january king
    dwarf french bean

    I could sort you out some strawberry plants, if you could collect them from Lowestoft. Might not be worth the petrol, but have a think.

    You could have a Raspberry cane or two. Unknown variety, summer cropper.

    I've got some dwarf French bean seeds too - they don't need staking, and they are fast croppers from an April sowing (mid July).

        I have purple carrots. How about some yellow ones? and how about mixed grain early flowering Amaranths (really easy to grow). Sending you a PM

          i'll have a look in my seed box, i'm sure i've got loads of beetroot in there, don't know about sow by date as they were given to me, i don't like beetroot, so if i have some you are more than welcome to them.

                Hi have you tried the B&Q 'Planet Awards?' Have other links if you want them as I work in a primary school and help to run the Environment Club. Pm if you want more details. I have some sweet peas if you're interested? not veg I know but easy for the kids

                  lol I was just going to suggest B&Q as that's where our school got seeds, pots and 3 huge bags of soil from, all for free too to set up a gardening club.
                  It's all the push now for getting kids involved too-you're doing a great thing and I bet the kids will love it!
