  • Dragon fruit seedlings available

I grew these from a fruit I bough in Sainsbury's. I though they'd just make interesting house plants, but then in GYO Magazine a few issues back implying you might get fruit. Well, either way, they germinated like cress and despite off-loading a clump on my Mum, I still have loads left. Anyone want to try some?

    Hi,

I saw these growing on a cactus looking plant last year in Malaysia and enjoyed them for breakfast everyday! I would be most grateful if I could pinch a few seeds from you?! Just let me know and I can send you an SAE etc.

    Cheers

Ah I'm sorry I missed this, I became obsessed with dragon fruit when I was in Singapore! Maybe I'll give it a try myself... Did you just plant the seeds out of the fruit? You should definitely post as to how it goes, and if you manage to get any fruit from them.

Yes, I did the seeds from a fruit from Sainsbury's. Rinsed them in a sieve then used cactus compost and covered with vermiculite. In a plastic bag on warm windowsill. They germinated really easily. Definitely worth a try
