I put my name down with garden organic for 2 of their 2009 experiments. I chose "quinoa as a staple" and peas "comparing old and new varieties." They sent me 3 lots of both. They have told me I can pass the extras on to anybody interested in taking part in the experiments. Th requirement is that you plant as many of the seeds you have room for and record when you plant, what your soil is like, germination rates etc etc fill the form in and return the results by December.
The pea varieties are Alderman (modern) and Simpsons Special, Clarke's Beltony Blue and Hugh's Huge. They are all tall pea varieties.
There are 2 varieties of quinoa, the plants are related to goosefoot but are tall. 2 varieties of seed are provided.
Anybody wanting to take part please PM me and I will send the seeds and paperwork on.
