  • My parsnip seeds need YOU!

I do have other seeds (including these) listed for swaps below, but am especially keen to find a home for my Parsnips (Gladiator F1), as they need using this year and it seems such a shame if they go to waste - they've been so fab for me, brilliant (and quite fast!) germination.

If you can use them, PM me - if you have something to swap that's great, but if you'd just like the seeds that's fine

Don't you want to keep them for next year?

The sow by dates are not always accurate, ive had seeds 5 years out of date germinate really well, probably worth holding on to them if you can

I've always been led to believe that parsnip seeds had to be really fresh otherwise they wouldn't germinate?? Is this a myth??

          It's a bit of a myth, yes.
I've had old seed germinate, and new seed that doesn't.

Keep them and have a go next year. You can always buy more if they fail.

They've been re-homed now anyway . Thanks for the advice though - it just goes to show you shouldn't believe everything you read .
