Never heard of or seen JA seeds, think you've more luck with tubers but down here it's a bit late for them as they're already growing away, mine are at least 6" high already.

Don't plant then unless you're really sure you like them or need to create a windbreak (or breakwind either way....)

I bought 14 organic tubers last year and got more than I bargained for - apart from the aweful tummy ache, they produced more than any sane person (or pig) could eat, they grew to over 10ft tall and shaded out my corn and now are comimg up everywhere even though I thought i had dug them all out.

My JAs are doing well but only about 6" at the moment and yes they can be a bit of a problem as they can spread somewhat.

Mine are in a trench between two sections of grass and I have managed to keep them under control.
The river Trent is lovely, I know because I have walked on it for 18 years.

I planted globe arti seeds last year and they worked fine.
I lost a couple to frost, but I've still got 8 or so 2ft plants left looking good.
