I thought I'd blog about how I packaged up the seedlings I posted yesterday:
    Posting Seedlings
Might help others who have some baby plants to post.

Instead of the acetate sheets couldn't you just pop them into a loo roll? Much cheaper and better for the environment

But I like your care and attention to the plants

Can do. Loo rolls are a bit bigger though, unless you cut them down the side and tape them up. The acetates make it easy for the seedling to slip down nice and snug as well.

I would wrap in kitchen rolls and stuff in the loo roll

I am sure there are thousands of ways to post them - and I have never actually done it lol

Received my scotch bonnet seedlings today. Packaged very well to protect the young things. They are now sunning themselves in their new pots on the windowsil. Many thanks Crundy.

I post lots of plants like this:

            - wrap up in clingfilm or damp newspaper and a plastic (reused) bag
            - pop inside a cut-up pop bottle (reused)
            - wrap in brown paper (compostable)

fairly green, light to post, and strong too
