TL - if no-one can supply a couple of 'treated' seeds - why not salvage a couple of your favourite types from the veg box which have grown a bit 'hairy'/sprouty. So far as I am aware the only reason we go for seed potatos is that they have been treated with something to retard sprouting at the wrong time of year and also with some degree of disease killer - this could be chemical or heat?
You'll likely have to bring them indoors or protect with fleece/bubble-wrap as we move towards Xmas - but if you have one to a flower bucket-sized pot this should pose no problem if you have to move them if you are lucky enought to have indoor space or a greenhouse.
You've certainly nothing to lose if the destination for hairy/green spuds is otherwise the composter or waste bin.
Am pretty sure that Tattieman was only taking orders up to the end of last month. I'm intending on planting up some of my second earlies, they'll be in tubs so no concerns re disease spreading.
Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.
