Do you have a Sainsburys near you? I went into our local one this week and their pumpkins were truly enormous, absolutely huge - £3 each. Made my homegrown efforts look somewhat unimpressive.

What do you class as a giant? I did have a 333lb pumpkin that was going spare till I promised it to someone. Sorry.
The place where I had planned to enter my larger pumpkin (675lb) for competition sells the donated giant pumpkins for charity. If the pumpkin is less than 200lbs then they charge 10p per pound. Over 200lb is charged at 15p per lb. The good thing is it all goes to charity. Not sure they would have any left but heres the website. The website actually says taking orders for 2010 but there are contact details.
i only want it for the kids i promised them that i would grow one but it didnt do that well if anyone has one please get in touch it would be much apriciated
My daughter is head cook and bottle washer of the allotment at our primary school. She was very much a newbie when she undertook resurrection of the neglected site. She is always on the lookout for 'new' projects to keep the little ones interested. When you know if you have any seeds available please let me know. She is funded.

I've sent a visitor message to you on your profile page so that the thread doesn't divert off topic away from Andrew's giant pumpkin search.
