You could pop in in the ground at the same time as your early potatoes; as potatoes, any small tubers left in the ground will sprout and grow anyway.

it says to keep frost free until April I couldn`t find when to plant it. Help please.

The clue is in the 'frost free' Trish. I plant mine, in sunny Scarborough, in the middle of April in an area that doesn't frost easily. It likes as long a growing season as it can get (I haven't harvested mine yet, it still has healthy leaves on). I reckon you should pop it in as soon as you think the frosts have passed (roll on that time )

I put mine in 4" pots in April in the greenhouse. They came through very quickly and I planted them on the lottie in June. They have just collapsed this week so I hope to try some over the Christmas holiday.

How is it best to store it until I plant it in April?

I'm sure there's a proper way but I kept mine in a paper bag in the spare room (not heated). It kept fine.

Ditto (though I used 6" pots )..... did have a firkle about a week ago and found a tuber which I ate raw..... they're quite nice, sort of zingy new potato flavour.... quite crunchy texture, not as good as a good radish but not far short of it..... would be excellent in stir-fry methinks...
