Would like to try some please as even some of the carrots I planted in containers were ruined last year & I thought the carrot fly couldn`t fly that high.

      Hi Louise/Trish,

I'm not trying to cadge any of your panther seeds - but I have a recommendation if you are interested! This year I grew 'flyaway' for the first time and they did exactly what it says on the tin. Germinated over 100 carrots in the row, have been eating them for the last 4 months and not a sign of carrot fly tunnelling so far!

Now admittedly I dont live in an area that's infested, but the autumn king I grew at the same time suffered a bit so I think that the flyaway actually do better than others. If you dont have any luck with anything else I would have a try perhaps?

Thanks for the tip. Will certainly give them a try. There`s nothing more disappointing than looking forward to a freshly picked carrot & then find you have to put it in the compost.
