  • Wild Garlic

I'm trying to re gig my back garden and need something that loves shade and doesn't mind getting it's feet wet (and I can eat) After a bit of searching through the threads I've decided on Wild Garlic. So does any kind Grape have Wild Garlic in their gardens that needs thinned out a bit? I can offer Oca (amazed at the crop, probably due to the mild weather we were having). If not Oca what about some heritage tomato seeds (can PM you my list) or how about a SAE. Also got a variety of seeds from Real Seeds, can again PM you a list.

Not exactly on topic but at the bottom of my garden where it is quite damp I have loads of garlic smelling blueish coloured chive like plants growing in my lawn & in the nearby bed. When I pull them up they have allium type small bulbs. Are they garlic chives & can I eat them or otherwise how do I get rid of them?

I have loads of garlic and can let you have plenty of bulbs but I'm not sure how kind that would be - it's extremely invasive and I've spent years trying to get rid of it with no success.
PM me if you want to risk it - I'll be delighted to send you some - along with JAs if you still want them.

PS My OH says something's arrived from you - I've not been home for nearly 3 weeks but will be back in Cornwall on Thursday, God willing, and will open my packet then.

Trish, could be Garlic Chives. Sounds similar to my Garlic Chives. Have PM'd Grannymem and Northlepaul, don't need any more Wild Garlic, many thanks.
