Peas are all ready to go but the beans are still on the vines. I'll hang on for a few weeks before I send.

Ok my potimarron hand pollinated ones got munched and one out of 3 trombocinos have made it (did one this week but too late probably?). (Harvested all my squash yesterday and generally a very poor harvest)
However alongside this very sad contribution I could add some tomatillo verdi seeds if any one is interested?
I have googled and not found anything re isolating the plant (the plants were not isolated)? Looks like I do the same as tom seeds, but have to liquidise thefruit first? Not sure how many seeds thee are per fruit?
Any one fancy some?
Starting to feel like Im clutching at straws now!

Tomatillo won't cross with anything but itself so far as I'm aware, so they should be fine. Oh, except maybe cape gooseberries. And yes, I'd like some, haven't grown tomatilloes in ages and they do make a great chutney, and salsa
My beans are still on the plants as well Flum. Praying for another couple of weeks with no frost...

I fancy a couple of tomatillo seeds too. Read about them on here but never ventured so far as to grow them myself (yet!)Whoever plants a garden believes in the future.

Thats great. I have nothing that will cross, and it means I have something to contribute! Phew! I did mine in pots this year, definately will do them again as I love how they look! Plus seem to fruit well too. Will definately have enough for all. Horray!
Seem to be a talking oint with the kids too!

Each to their own Poly, but I hate them! They didn't change colour when they ripened so they're a horrible yellowy brown colour like an old bruise, and they were incredibly susceptible to botrytis. Plus the flavour was nothing to write home about IMHO.

You make them sound delightful I do agree not the 'bestest' flavoured tomato and not one I'd grow every year. But I've found them useful and attractive, colour for me appeared dusky red-purple, perhaps just different growing conditions.
I’ve noticed a couple of my blacks and a purple not get their full colour this year due I think to a slightly shady spot. But their flavour was as it should be so no hope of redemption there!

Would anyone like some 100's and 1000's as well as the bloody butchers I've already saved?
I'm in the process of saving a load of seeds and can recommend them for flavour yield and above all they appear to be blight resistant. I've now grown them 2 years running in hanging baskets and have had no blight while everything around them died.

Yes please incy, Id like to try a couple please. Anything that is blight resistant is good for me!
Ive saved first batch of tomatilloverde seeds, had to do it a little differently to toms as the fruit is very dense and not so much juicy. So added a little water at the start, rather than having juice. Hope this is ok? Still got a little stinky and seeds seperated top to bottom well.
Will do another batch tommorow, just waitingfor some to plump a lttle more. These have grown well (dont faint!) so there will be plenty for everyone, I love the lanterns but they are pretty large plants. I did mine in pots and had to tie them to trellis to stop them topppling over. Intending to make green tomato and tomatillo chutney tomorrow so will back on taste!

My one trombocino that survived from hand pollination is now looking a little worse for wear. It was growing well so can assume it was pollinated fine, but he end is now turning yellow and softening, seems to have stopped growing. The one next to it that wasnt hand pollinated is massive and firm to touch. Concerned as i know there arent many seeds inthe end anyway.
Its not been my year for squashes Im afraid.
Should be about 18 or so tomatillo verde seeds each though. Just wish I had more to add.
