I feel seed poor in comparison to you all Although I notice I'm growing a few of the same beans - Trail of Tears, Monastic, Yingyang, so I'll make a concerted effort this year for seed saving from them. The rest of my beans are too boring - Bird's Egg, Lablab, Purple Giant. I do have on the tomato front - German Red Strawberry and Anna Russian (both heirloom but not HSL), so if non HSL seeds are allowed I've got spares to share. PM me. Again if non HSL is allowed I have a 1m x 1m raised bed of Potato Onions which will be ready later on next year for sharing. I'll leave it with the gardening gurus to decide what to grow and what not to grow in the seed circle. I've set aside 2 1m x 1m beds (perhaps some dwarf beans?) and some space for toms for seed saving within the seed circle. Next year I'll be on the mooch

    Available for sharing 2010

    The Untranslatable Sweet Pepper

NB I still have a few spare seeds for the tomatoes listed below.

I've got a few Carruther's Purple Podded - they were originally from HSL. The flowers are beautiful, but the peas are best eaten small or I find they become a bit floury - more like a soup pea.

If anyone fancies some of the Bridgewater beans just shout. Pic of them growing last year:

FF - non HSL is allowed - in fact encouraged!!! As long as they are open pollinated then anything [and everything] goes.

I think mine are all beans (which is probably more than coincidence).

          Broad Beans
Martock (although I doubt their purity as I grew them near to some Aquadulce)

          Runner Beans
          White Apollo

          Dwarf French Beans
          Negrito

As you can probably tell - I'm new to this.

I'm sure I've more saved seeds - but I'll have to have a look at some juncture over the Christmas break.

Edit: Ooh Ooh, just memberised - I will also have Chestnut Squash and Chicago Warted Hubbard once I've opened/eaten them.

Guys, I'm away in Cheshire now with only a phone for access and my seeds are back home. Is it ok for me to add my list on my return, which won't be until 29th at earliest?

Just so I am sure, a couple of questions please. Am I correct, I should make two list, the first been a list of any open pollinated seeds I have spare/saved from this year to pass on to other members of the circle, and the second a list of the open pollinated seeds i will be growing in 2010 from which I will be saving seeds to share.

                      Have I got this right ???? :-)

Only if you have any that you want to share.

if you just want to post a list of what you are wanting to grow that can be put aside for seed saving; then that is great. i just added in additional seeds that i can share with the circle so that if anyone wants to grow any of those for the circle then i can send them on.

There are no rules; apart from growing some seeds for the circle!

I like Frosty am feeling very seed poor, this is my first season so I've not got any saved seed I've put my request in the HSL library so I will see what I get, I intend to grow everything that they send me so will sow a few extra to save seed from. They did send me about 40 mini orange tomato seeds with my membership pack if anyone wants a few of those but otherwise I'm seedless.

Don't worry about it - we are all at different stages; that's the idea of the circle.
