Hi Incy
Im just wondering if up you either have acouple of chinese five colour or numex twilight seeds going spare? Feel a bit cheeky with all the discussion re seed exchange going on! Would only need a couple and either one or the other?
We did chillis last year but were a bit unsuccesful, we think its linked to the peat free compost we used? No worries if not.

Unlikely to be the compost - I'd have blamed the seeds! My early chillies sown on Jan 3rd which are now romping away are sown in last year's peat free.

Thanks flum. Will bear that in mind .It was a thai chilli, we have managed to overwinter 2 plants, but they are absolutely tiny and never produced fruit? Still very new to all this! We are gonna try growin them in my friends attic this year, as its a constant temperature and very bright. Whereas the poly varied a lot in tempeature, plus we also had problems with humidity in there and trying to regulate that.

Hazel at the hill kindly sent me some beans and peas which Im happy to have a go at for saving.

This will be an added bonus if it works out ok, plus the two squash varieties.

Ok looking through, Would like to save the Following

Tom
Lemon Tree (Heritage)

Chilli
Peach and/or White Habenero

If people could please look through my list and let me know if you're in agreement. I would like to grow something others want the seeds from....

PS Will be growing all of them for self saving for myself and others but will grow extra's of the one's people would like

Having had some of those Lemon Tree toms from you last spring RedThorn, I agree they are well worth saving (I saved a few for myself!) A lovely tomato this, ladies and gents.

As a newbie, whatever you guys decide is fine by me. Apologies if my selection is a bit limited and well known!hopefully once I get my confidence up a bit I can experiement next year, without the worry of failure! Also its all new to me, so I'm quite excited by everything!

Just to confirm that I will definately attempt to save potimarron squash, plus also have 3 uchiki kuri squash seeds that I'll try to.
The peas/beans were an afterthought! Plus as Ive read french beans dont cross pollinate might be a good one for a novice!

How about a couple of choices for the tomatoes - I'll try saving Reisetomate primarily but as a fail save I'll also try Black Sea Man tomato (Reisetomate might not like sunny, warm Fort William!)
