  • Got Blue Hopi (blue popcorn), looking for shelling beans

Hi folks, my Blue Hopi did pretty well last year and I've got a fairly large number of seeds as a result of self-saving. I thought I'd give a red variety a go this year, but that means I've got tons of BH spare....
I've done a germination test and 8 of 8 have germinated in a propagator in two weeks.

Looking for shelling beans other than broadies, borlotties and butters and soys if you've got any

I don't need your hopi Chris, but I could let you have some shellers. Dwarf or climbers?

      Many thanks Flummery!

Climbers for preference .... I've already got Borlotti, O'Driscoll, Cherokee Trail of Tears, Marvel of Venice, a normal and a giant butter bean, Black Pencil and Brown Dutch...

In dwarfs I've got a couple of varieties of soybean, yin-yang kidneys and Ernies Big-eye

Guess I'm now mostly looking for a cannellini and a red kidney bean but I'm always interested....

I have Bird's Egg which is a fantastic shelly bean - and if you want something cannelini-ish - the dwarf bean Soldier has massive beans and is a heavy cropper. Send me a pm with your choice (or you can have both!) The classic red kidney for chillies is Canadian Wonder but I don't have that one.

I have some dwarf cannellini beans that I would love to swap for normal/giant butterbeans, if you have any spare to swap/are still looking for cannellini beans!
