  • Gindungo Cahombo - Angolan Chili

    Hiya,

I brought back some fresh chillis from my holiday. Their native name is Gindungo Cahombo.

I'll be trying to germinate them myself. They look like small habanero's. Pic attached.

According to my hubby they have a decent heat but are still very flavoursome. They come from a large bush though, so not sure how it would grow in the UK.

Anybody interested in some seeds? I am sure I'll have plenty.

Swaps or SAE. Send me a pm.

Right... Chillis have been deseeded just this minute and are on some kitchen paper to dry out a bit. Will reply to all 5 PMs tonight once I know how many seeds I have and how many I can send out, but there is enough for everyone who's contacted me so far.

                Great!

Don't dry mine out too much, they'll germinate faster fresh and I'd like to try to start some asap please.

Mine germinated fine but were sown too late on in the year to get any fruit. I've just sown a couple of the seeds for the early chilli thread - thanks for the seeds

I got a few small fruit off mine - which was pot-grown - they were quite tasty & hot, I'll be trying them again this year.

SBP - that's good news! Glad they gave a few fruits at least!
