"New Squash Parcel"

Picked up the parcel, will be having a good root round this evening, and be ready to pass it on tomorrow if I can get to the PO.

No worry's ...these things happen I've got a memory like a sieve.

I like the idea of posting the "Tracking Number" on this thread...that way everyone can track the parcel, not just the person sending/person receiving the parcel and me.
Plus it adds a bit of interest for people to watch...I'm no good at working out mileage & anagrams of peoples names like enrich100 , so my cotribution to the fun is "Track the Parcel"... Simples

Please could I be added to the list GN? I did not see this thread b4 today! I would love to have a go at some other squash! I have some courgette's going, have a few seeds left that I can add, Bambino and taxi both doing great so far!

last year I washed and dried a couple of butternut squash seeds from a shop bought fruit, so not sure what sort they are, but planted them this year anyway! They are going great guns so far, even have a few what looks like will be flowers on them. So far the plants have grown about 4/5ft along the ground over filling & crawling out of the raised bed I put them in as small plants about a couple of months ago. I did not think to save any more seeds than the 2 I planted. However I'm planing to save some seeds to send around, should I be blesses with any squash from my plants, fingers crossed!!

Hooray!! The parcel was delivered today.....but I was on the school run, Doh!!

Apologies to all in the delay in the squash parcel. Intended to post it last week, but have been ill and unable to, and OH not been around.

It will be posted either tomorrow or saturday 17th at the latest and I will post tracking number straight away.

So sorry if you were all panicking as to its where abouts

The squash parcel today was sent recorded delivery by my OH to grannymem. Unfortunately despite my writing down that I needed a tracking number he didnt get one! It has gone recorded delivery though.

My sincere apologies, I should have waited until i was able to do it myself next week, but felt that was too long for you all to wait. I will be on edge until I know it has got there safely!

Any contribution is great in my books grannymem it doesn't mater what you put in...it will be very much appreciated.

Could I please remind people that seeds that have been self saved are ONLY allowed IF you can GUARANTEE they have not crossed pollinated with any other squash. Please label these seeds as "SELF SAVED"

Please DO NOT put shop bought squash seeds in the parcel as you can't guarantee they will be the same as the squash they came out off, this isn't fare on people that go to all the trouble of sowing the seed only to find out they are not what they expected.

Hi All, just wanted to say a quick thanks for the parcel, I really enjoyed sifting through all the seeds and deciding what ones to try - I was like a child in a candy store! Its such a brilliant idea and I just cannot wait to get my seeds into pots next year. I think I'm most excited about trying a Chicago Warted Hubbard! Thanks again Janet for organising this! Louise
