  • Wanted: Radish Seeds Please

    Hi all

If any very kind grape has any spare radish seeds, My daughter would be very glad to re-home them, please. She did have two lots but have gone through them all! AND she actually likes eating them! ()
I can offer most types of seeds in exchange, (just let me know what you want & I'll have a look) or an SAE.
    Thank you xx

Just thought I'd post this - real seeds have some pretty funky looking variety - bottom of the page: Vegetable Seeds : Salad and Cooking Radishes

Quite tempted, but if the mrs gets wind of me ordering me - I'll be in trouble!

No problem - they're still available if anyone else wants them. Now you've got me looking at the Real Seed site

NP - I had some growing this year - my son simply hated them and I pulled a few each morning for a personal treat as I love 'em. Tops went straight to the tortoise and she chomped them up as a tasty bit of variety.

Now since I started harvesting from a trough a couple have bolted. I intend to let these go to seed as the flower buds are already visible. Seems there is a V.narrow window of opportunity from eating to bolting. Why not let a few go this way and your daughter can have the pleasure and learning experience of truly growing something from scratch.

Supplemental? - can any tell me if radish tops can be treated like spinach/greens and be lightly blanched/buttered and eaten by US? - rather than the tortoise having an extra helping - not that I begrudge her a little treat.

I think on the packet of one of my seeds of radish it says you can pick young radish leaves to use as salad leaf...

                        I'll double check for ya

Older leaves can be eaten cooked as well.
