watch out folks - they don't half spread! I planted one alpine strawberry about 5 years ago and now have a whole patio full - they are superb though and it breaks my heart to have to weed some of them out in the summer so I can walk across the patio.

We got some alpine strawberry plants years ago from a cousin. We brought some of the successor plants with us a couple of years ago and now they are in a very large bed, OH picks them throughout the summer for adding to her brekkie cereal.

But I've got them bounded in by boards to keep them in check, just thinking about where the third year patch should go.
