I know i haven't posted 10 posts or been a member for a month, but i have a question that hopefully someone can answer before i can start swapping next year.
I belong to another allotment site that does swaps, we used to have a sed parcel that used to go round and round with people adding and deducting what we needed. However we were ambushed by some other people who were sent from a money savings site who were told if they join the swaps they could get free seeds for nothing and didn't have to contribute anything, needless to say the seed parcel died,
It was resurected and we had to email the total weight and price each time we passed it on, to see who was taken the stuff.
The question i have do you have a seed parcel and if so how do i join it next year or are the swaps done on an individual basis?
I have just taken on a second plot, i have loads of seeds to swap and i am looking for new / different things to try.
Never having grown peas before and not being a lover of them I had no interest in buying a packet, however after being told how nice home grown one are, i found a small pack in the seed parceland thought i would try them, the harvest was lovely and i rushed off to buy a whole pack and managed to get a 2nd harvest in.
i'm sorry this has turned into an essay.
Regards
PB
