Tried the Triple Treat peas yesterday - yum, yum, so will save them (promise not to eat too many of them) and I'm humming and hawing between the Crown Pea (not the most prolific of croppers but tasty) and a red Camelia bean.
I've just re read the thread I'll save the Triple Treat and the Crown Pea. Last night I was trying to rearrange my growing plan for next year and thought I've only got 6 peas and 1 mange tout type to grow (Mr Frosty and I love peas) but now after re reading the thread I realise I'll have plenty of peas - so THANK YOU.

I don't think there will be 10 seeds each of the Crown Pea not the most prolific of croppers but the flowers are pretty Plenty of Triple Treat. All now harvested.
Edit - Yes there are plenty Crown Peas. All now dried, will bag up next week (week beg. 5th Sep)Last edited by FROSTYFRECKLE; 04-09-2011, 11:18 AM.

Sorry to ask due to unfortunate reasons (Kiwirach pulling out ) but do you have any room for me?
I have loads of Serbian beans and some bunyards (I think) broadies drying in my garage..although I dont know if they're heritage ones, but both have been very tasty and prolific.
No worries if not though

Finally, I've just taken all the 'Telephone' pea pods off for the last bit of drying out... There's not a huge amount, but should be enough to get everyone going.
I also have a few 'Oskar' to share if anyone's interested? They a very early variety from Real Seeds, short, and supposed to finish just about the time the maincrop peas start cropping. Again, there won't be many, but enough to save from.

shyly am putting my newbie head round the corner of this hardcore seed swap to say...I know I'm not eligible to join but am a bean obsessive and would love your expert recommendations. am a fan of meraviglia de venise (yellow, flat, SoI), cosse violette, borlotti and some speckled 'prawn-shaped' according to SoI crescent beans which I'm trying out for the first time this year...but often eye the varieties on e.g. Heritage SL and wonder which are good 'uns...any advice? Thank you and apologies if this is not the right place to ask...BR
