I think I have some seeds of the trumpet vine, campis radicans. We have a vine in our garden that produces big orange/red trumpet flowers that turned into a large black seed pod. I have opened one of these and there are loads of brownish flakes inside with (I think) a small seed in. If anyone wants to give this a try let me know.
