    Hello.

I just joined up today as I recieved a letter from my council saying that a plot has finally been made available so I'll have me very own Allotment. I'm planning on visiting this forum a lot in future.

I was wondering if anyone has any spare seeds for any fruit and veg that they no longer need. I don't even know if I'll be able to sow anything this year as I have no idea what state the plot is in but it would be handy to have a starting point.

    Thankyou

I know I'm so excited! I'll definetley be taking before and after piccies when I get my eager hands on it.

I'm hoping to be in and sorted for June/July and I've found a few things I can grow to get started so...

I even bought a pink spade and fork today. Couldn't resist (I have pink hair).

          hi Rockhag
i Have some yellow onion seeds that can be put in August and then harvested the following June, if you've got a corner spare and you'd like some let me know, also I might have some spare spring onion seeds.
          Good news about the lot.

            Hi
Maybe when you move in and get to know your neighbours you might find you are offered plants they do not need. I've been offered strawberries, rhubarb and artichokes and people have said they give plants to others if they have spare.

You might even be surprised at what you inherit when you visit your plot. Ask questions when you meet the others at your site - you'll find out lots of valuable information!

            Good luck
            Julie

Your Journal is looking good, how did the slug traps go - was the stout better than the stella?

The slug traps worked a treat. After careful research I do think that the slugs preferred stout over carling like.
