Is there an easy way to count seeds?? I fall asleep just looking at a packet of 2000 carrot sheep/seeds! Can I lob in a full packet and let someone else be the lucky recipient of a whole packet, please?

If you have 2000 just use a credit card and split it into 20 = 100 seeds on average in each bag.

I use a teaspoon and just make sure I think there are more than 80.

Thanks Zazen. A way to use my credit card without going into debt!! Brilliant. I've just remembered that I have tiny measuring spoons too - quarter teaspoon etc so if I count one measureful I can approximate on the rest. Many thanks for your advice.

2) felt ashamed, like piggle, but maybe more so...i have a SERIOUS seed-buying habit and clearly need to attend Fantasy Gardeners Anonymous
3)laboriously divided them up
4)felt very embarrassed at the thought of the faceless and to me nameless Zazen receiving all my packets and gasping in SHOCK
5)ground to a blushing halt.

I have an absurd number of seeds that I can send out. Glad to see that others are in the same boat. If that's the case, then I'll divide things I have a lot of into smaller packets (still within the guidelines, of course) so that there's more to go around. Otherwise, I don't want to take up the bulk of the stuff in the hat.
