  • I left my first lot of french black to ferment too long, so they started to sprout . I've not got many others yet, but there's still a bit of time. As usual the green tigers are not very prolific, but again, a bit of time. The plants are under cover so I might get some more seeds, jury's out at the moment. Typically Jersey devils are doing very well, but piggle has offered those .
No one is allowed to eat a tomato at the moment until I've dissected it for seed.

I could not live without a garden, it is my place to unwind and recover, to marvel at the power of all growing things, even weeds!
    Now a little Shrinking Violet.

    • It's not looking like I'm going to have any seeds other than Black Plum. At least, I think that's what they are. I was given the seed in a swap about 5 years ago and they were labelled 'Eva Purple Ball', but didn't grow out anything like those, they were/are a small brown-ish plum. They're the only ones ripening at the moment, all the rest are just sitting there green and threatening to succumb to botrytis

                • I've just bagged 25 of each - if that's too many whatevers left can go into VSP.
                  Heinz - 8 seeds each
                  Delicious - 6 seeds each
Burgess mammoth didn't look too good so I've put in some seeds sent to me by a relative in states - Ponderosa pink (not grown them myself yet) 8 seeds each.
As soon as Davy (if that's where they're going) PM's me his address they'll be on their way.

                    • Hi all, I am off to The USA for a month from Thursday, so if you could all hang on to your seeds till I get back, I will PM you all my address then. As there are currently 26 people in the circle, and suprisingly this year none have dropped out, we need 25 bags of each.

I don't wish to appear to be rude but there are only 26.I am on the list twice,I did post this on the thread but perhaps it got overlooked. It might be an idea for you to update people's changes.

What makes you believe this? Have you grown both types out? Which do you prefer?
I know I'm not in this but Chris I grew Gelbe Koenigin and they are definitely yellow. The orange ones were Orange Favourite - both from Nellie M.

                          • I've just bagged up the sunbaby tom seeds (managed to get 30 bags - just incase anyone else joins), and ive just put some more seeds to ferment, and also put the hundreds and thousands seeds to dry. - wow its like a blummin seed factory here, one set to ferment, then dry them, whilst there drying put some more to ferment and the circle continues lol

Anyway all ive got to do now is to write 50 odd labels out

I'm sure theres a way to print out lots and lots of labels on a single piece of paper, but I cant remember how to do it

i could print out loads of little labels on nomal paper, but then i would have to put them in the bag, where as proper labels can stuck to the bags - oh well i will sort something out!
