A little update on the winter tomatoes. The yellow one, Giallo d'inverno, sat on my kitchen table until mid May. Still looked fine. (a little creepy, really ) Then I cut it open so I could sow some of its seeds. It has a rosy flesh and the yellow skin is a little transparent so the darker colour shines through, very pretty. I must confess that after sitting in the warm kitchen for six months, it didn't taste great anymore but if I had kept it properly in the pantry as I should have then maybe it would have been better. Will try again this yearAttached Files...bonkers about beans... and now a proud Nutter!

Whoever put in the Serpette Guilloteau pea seeds - thank you. It is a tender flavoursome pea and I love the distinctive shape.
Also, Martin H - your Firecrest sweet peas are BEAUTIFUL. That fiery red takes my breath away.Last edited by veggiechicken; 23-07-2015, 10:30 PM.

I hope Kathycam is still lurking as I would like to say thank you for the Mystery Seeds - possibly red hopi leaf amaranth. I haven't actually tried it yet but it is an instant hit of colour amongst all the greenery in the patch. Thank you

nellie-m I hope you see this. I have some of your Orange Banana tomato seeds. Oddly enough not through the VSP but through a Pass the Parcel seed chain on another forum that I don't think you're a member of...Spooky how far seeds can travel! At any rate, I am betting they originated in the VSP or somehow from here as they have your name on them.
This is a very long-winded Thank You! I think the tomatoes are fab and will be growing them regularly now. They are huge, taste lovely and look beautiful - and the trusses are loaded!
