Hi all, I'm on the mooch. Don't have any TPS this year so thought someone on the Vine may have some spare for swapping or an SAE. Thanks

I've got loads from previous years, or if you want to wait a bit I'll have some from this year's, which haven't processed yet?
Are you looking for anything in particular?

Poly just looking for anything. I've been looking at Tom Wagner's blog (again) and I remembered I have no TPS said left. Are you looking for any seeds? ThanksLast edited by FROSTYFRECKLE; 24-12-2014, 03:29 PM.

Sorry I'm so long in replying, got sidetracked with festive stuff.
Tom Wagner does have an amazing site and blog, such exciting and wonderful varieties
No seeds needed, happy to share. I've been behind on sending seeds but should be about sorted now
Easiest for me is a SAE and I'll put them ready.
Any preference on eating type or do you perhaps want a mix?

Am getting some through another seed swap - really looking forward to growing them. Perhaps we could have a TPS thread for newbies like me?http://mudandgluts.com - growing fruit and veg in suburbia

I thought about collecting seed myself last year, but chose not to as I have a young child and didn't want to risk her picking the potato fruit and eating it, as I understand they are poisonous. So If someone else has collected some and is willing to give me a few seeds, that would be very cool indeed. Love the idea of letting nature do its thing and having a new variety.

"Hi Poly,
are these TPS to grow seed potatos or potatos for eating?
Can I have few seeds of variety good for frying/cooking?"
They are small little seeds, a bit smaller than tomato seeds, that you sow and grow on for eating potatoes, harvest in the first year is smaller than for proper seed tubers. They are a little bit of a faf to get started as they need warmth to start them and they need to be potted on a couple of times before they are ready for planting out. But they are, I think, very interesting. They don't come true from seed and give varied plants and tubers, not always like the parent. Although they often are similar in type and have characteristics of the parent plants. Plants will be unique to you!
Pm me your address.
