Thanks look forward to seeing them
I've been surfing the net to find out more and now I'm interested in Walking Onions as well after seeing a you tube video are these related to the everlasting onions?

^^^The relationship goes as far as they are onions. If you start getting into your alliums there are loads of things that are likely to take your fancy. Potato onions (say now or forever hold your peace if you want a bash at these as well ), babbington leeks, wild garlic/ ransomes, serpent garlic, nodding onions the list is just as long as any other veg

Walking onions are believed to be a cross between allium cepa and welsh onions. They flower, producing bulbs instead of seeds then die back and go dormant for a while.
Perutile in allium cepa var perutile and isn't supposed to flower or die back so is available all year round.

NG which type of Potato onions - yellow, red or Green Mountain? I got hold of half a dozen yellow bulbs and planted out all 15 of them - they're coming through now.
By the way your link to Pennard Plants goes to the Welsh Onions

My potato onions are yellow ones from pontyzfield nursery. I did try some white and red ones from Canada but they weren't a lot of cop so I gave up trying/ hunting for them.
I have now deleted that other post as the years have not been kind and it seems pennard plants are no longer offering everlasting onions.

I read quite a few posts / seen utoob vids of people saying that the Canadian ones are a scam and are just regular sets.
Mine are from pontyzfield nursery as well.
There's a seller on ebay from Ayrshire who usually has red, white, yellow and texas star for sale. I'll see how the yellows go before I fork out for others (potato onions ain't cheep).

Edit: Ok I have no will power I looked. Not convinced though. The reds look like my red sun shallots. If the onion man frequents the vine it would be nice to see more pics of them growing through the year
Anyhoo, everlasting onion pics.
So almost 2 years ago (when I last offered basically) I planted 8 pieces that looked like those below and what peeps will receive.
This is how they look in the bed. The gaps are where I have harvested them completely
Close up of a clump
Pulled up clump (don't forget it is almost end of October so not at their prettiest)
