Not only have they arrived they have been put in soil and watered and are now in the greenhouse relaxing after a stressful journey. Thank you again and I will keep you updated on their progress. Once they have established more roots I will move them up a pot size and they will remain in the larger pots until I'm ready for them to hit plot 23B

I will give it till Friday, but the onions on their own (3 lots) seem to be lurking at the royal mail. I know last time they took longer.

Mine are growing well you can see the amount of growth since they arrived by the green stem above the weathered outer skin.

Now I'm looking for a source for potato onions and walking onions as I fancy having a bash at them as well.

Nope a video type cardboard box with the everlasting onion wrapped in wet newspaper in a plastic bag and the two packs of tomato seeds!

I have found a source and have bought some walking onions from http://treeonions.com via ebay, works out

                  10 bulbs £4.99 = 50p each
                  20 bulbs £7.99 = 40p each
                  30 bulbs £9.99 = 33p each

So I went for the 30 bulbs lots of information about them and photographs on Ian's website

Thank you, thank you and once again thank you

I suppose if you were to cross Walking Onions with wild plums you might get sloe walking onions.

The mystery is solved! I had to collect mine from the Sorting Office and pay £1.50 because the postage was underpaid
The PO man gave me a few funny looks as he handed over an envelope smelling strongly of damp onion and addressed to Veggiechicken Fortunately he didn't ask for proof of identity!

The good news is the onions have survived, in fact they look like they've done a bit of sprouting in the bag!

I'll pot them up tomorrow. Thank you NG They're a bargain at £1.50

I am so sorry grovel, grovel, grovel. I did fear after all this time I had stuffed up. The last ones I posted like that, were probably 6 months ago. You can shout and swear I will feel better than you being nice about it.

                                Sorry again.
