Right, VSP seeds coming back from me this season (based on me/nature not otherwise killing them inbetween):
    - facing heaven chilli
    - royal black chilli
    - serrano tampiqueno chilli
    - lipstick sweet pepper

I do also have a small host of other plants I am saving from too, which might get added at the end of the season - same caveat applies!

      More volunteers this morning

There is certainly nothing wrong with pimento de padron chillis. Looks like my Dad will be getting some of those. There are now 7 up.

Atkins Stuffing Tomatoes are now showing
Jamaican Red Hot Chilli are now showing

So 5 out of 10 varieties are looking good so far

Looks like there stillplenty of life in some of these old seeds
Thanks for testing them and letting me know so quickly. I haven't released all of the tomatoes into the testers' willing hands, but I can put some of those that have germinated back into the VSP stock.
        Much appreciated

This mornings volunteers are (drum roll please ) ..........

          Fatalli Chilli
          Mortgage Lifter

Toms seem fine, the Golden Queen I have 4 out of 6 up and Atkin's Stuffing 5 out of 6. I only had 2 Cheethams seed so one volunteer is understandable.

So three more varieties left. They are doing so well

Where do you have the space for all of them? Am very envious, I just have one 5ft windowsill.

Ok confession of a women who has lost the plot

Several times I have posted that I only have 2 cheethams potato leaf tom seed well...........I actually had 4 but for some reason I only sowed 2. Was resowing some chillis today and found the packet Sorry about that. Good news is they are viable. In fact of the 13 varieties of tom from the VSP most are up with the exception of Tondino Di Barletta. I haven't given up on them. I have sown the rest of the seeds today tho.

My Hinkelhatz chili is growing good. But 2 of my Red savana chili and 1 of my Santa fe grande chili seems to be growing very slowly. The other 5 chili seeds I got to test, there is nothing from them.

One of my facing heaven chillies keeled over the other day. Still got 2 but they are slowly going yellow. They haven't got wet feet, I sprayed them with a gentle epsom salts solution and watered in some light feed last time as they've been in the pots for 2 months now. They are moved off the windowsill every evening and lifted back up in the morning when the sun is up.

Am a bit baffled. Any tips to try? I don't want to lose them.

I have not had much luck - one Hot Banana and two Alberto's Rocoto (but they might have been the ones from Sparrow rather than the old ones). The rest have not showed at all. I'll leave them in as I don't need the space for now and it's too late to sow a third batch (there was a lot of see of some varieties so I have a little left).

On the plus side, the chillis I bought to try this year are going great so I will have some seeds to donate to the VSP...
