I was looking in the seed catalogues last year and found an Autumn Broad Bean and didn't get the plants or seeds. This year I was going to get them but can't seem to find the variety anymore The variety was 'Luz de Otono'. Would anyone have any seeds they would be able to send? or know where I could get the seed from?

I've sown "normal" ones in May in the past, but they just try to bloom at the same time as the early sown ones, so they stay relatively small and unproductive and only extend the harvest by a little. That's not to say that sowing after midsummer when the days are shortening isn't worth a try.Last edited by planetologist; 14-02-2015, 05:39 PM.

Luz de Otono seeds seem to be sold out - again - just the plants on sale.
Apparently it can be overwintered, like Aquadulce or sown in July to crop in November.
If you have some Aqualdulce BBs in your seed stash, why not join me in sowing a few now and lets see whether we can pick some before Chr***mad
Go on, you know you want to

On your Marks, Mark..............
Ready,

Update:-
Sown 10 Super Aquadulce beans in individual modules in GH. The beans were "sow by August 2011" so fingers crossed they're still viable.Last edited by veggiechicken; 04-08-2015, 12:55 PM.
