Yes, I'll put you on the list! I'm not sure which orange beefsteak you had before...what was it called?...but orange banana is a lovely tasting orange tomato, nellies Orange favorite is worth a try
Yay! Happy dance!
Looking forward to the Black Trifele - its seeds were among the few that I didn't sow in time and got too old to germinate...
Thanks for the weirdo, Taff, it's true and I totally take it as a compliment! Pity I missed the edited bit of the comment
OK. Forgive me for being ignorant but does this mean I need to have (about) 15 packs of each with eight seeds in each and we send them to Scarlet (address to be provided) with a self addressed envelope to receive (about) 28 lots of tomato seeds?
If so, it looks good to me.
(Mild panic I've got about 100 different varieties in saved seed that I keep refreshed over a few years. Adding another 28 varieties will challenge my space).
Yes exactly that ^^^^ but at the moment ive only got 11grapes confirmed....so 11 packs of each variety. ( in your case 11X red zebra & 11 x summer cider)
Hold on for a few more days just incase we get a response from the remaining few and I'll send out my address.
Sorry if this sounds a little "Numb" Having never saved my own seed before, always thought it a little too much of a faff to be honest, but having done extensive research am now totally getting how saving your own can stabilise, naturalise and adjust plants to thrive in the conditions you have, anyway, I'm "Waffling"
Am starting to ferment the "Rosella' but have dunked them straight in water as opposed to bunging them in an egg cup to get mouldy? Is this right or wrong?
Guidance appreciated!
Scarlet, you can have as many "To Die for" Rosella as I can manage to rumble!

Deano, what I used to do was put the pulp & seeds in a containor of water for 3/4 days (Chinese takaway type plastic boxes). Then drain off the pulp & dry the seeds on kitchen roll. Once dry you can package them.
Sorry Scarlet, you beat me to it............................

Yes. I usually fill the cup 3/4 way yo the top. Cut tomato in half. Scrape seeds into cup. Eat the remaining tomato
Top LHS.- seeds put in water yesterday - they are a yellow variety.
Top RHS - seeds put in water 2days ago - sunk to the bottom (ive rinsed them a bit so you can see better)
Bootom LHS - 3 days - seeds sunk to the bottom. Started tipping water out and topping up to clear them.
Bottom RHS - seeds left in cup to dry off after draining.
Carefull with the Toxic ones Deano.........................

I had to buy paper cups (10p in the sale) because I used to use the boys plastic drinking cups from ike@ and they would Grab them off the kitchen top, chuck the seeds out and use the cup to drink from

Mark, you do realise that we'll require your presence in the Vine's tomato circles for the next 20 years?
