      • Hurray! All my seeds were waiting for me after a day spent on the train. Much needed seed playing-with and now I just need to see how many of them I can squeeze into a growing plan. (who'm I kidding, plan!!)

        • Sparrow100 - in the process of cataloging and finding all the varieties on the web and adding hyperlinks, and will upload to my diary once completed so you can look at when you decide which ones to squeeze in this year, some smashing looking toms in the envelope.

                  • Alan, the Rio Grande description says they are determinate, but that's not strictly true, although they don't grow as tall as a cordon, admittedly. You usually get more than one truss on each stem. I grow them up a cane, and allow 1 or 2 sideshoots to grow from near the bottom giving each one its own cane. Effectively a double or triple cordon. Seems to work well for me.

The trusses can be very heavy and may need supporting. Good luck with them!

ps the Speckled Roman link goes to a STRIPED Roman page, are they the same?

Thanks for the heads up have changed to Speckled Roman Organic Tomato - Seed Savers Exchange

If you find a better link for the Rio Grande let me know, basically I was looking for a good photo and blurb about each one as there aren't any photos of what they look like.

List now updated including the Rio Grande.

Now all that's left for me to do is my OCD thing and make seed labels with a photo on for the packs I'm going to decant them into so they are all the same size and go in my two tomato seed storage boxes in alphabetical order. I know but I can't help it - it's gotta be done

                        Great work Cad

You might also consider this link for the Rosella, as it was Gourmet Genetics that originally developed this variety:

For the Aranyalma seeds, I don't know whether they were grown from seeds I contributed to the VSP at the end of 2015, or whether from another source. But I have previously posted here about this variety, together with a picture for you:

                        • The Aranyalma seeds that I supplied for this years seed swap were originally from seed given to me by Nellie M - she loves yellow toms!
This pic was taken past their best..15th September 16, they carried on till the frosts.
