  • Leanto for standard greenhouse

I have an old fairly standard 8x6 greenhouse.
It has a border outside on one side.
Is there such a thing as an addon leanto.
I envisage some form of aluminium frame that bolts onto the side.
    Anyone seen owt like this?
I guess in true allotment style I could cobble together some form of Heath Robinson structure!
    Any ideas?
    Thanks
    Jimmy

I have seen 'Off the shelf' small lean-to's in either wood or aluminium that would fit the bill perfectly. The ones I have seen would fit below the eves as well. Some have glass and others have Perspex.

Even a polythene covered 'blowaway' would fit dpending on what you want to put in it.

If you can find a similar greenhouse in the freeads you could add the pieces to yours like this person has in this link, good tip about leaving the end frame in place to section off that smaller area for heating -

I joined my 2 side by side, just leaving 1 layer of glass between the 2. Bit of a palaver glazing the roof on the joining side (had to do it standing on a step ladder through the roof, one strip at a time) but If I can do it......

          Thanks for the ideas.
          I spotted https://www.twowests.co.uk/access-va...alf-wall-frame
Which could work but my wallet would go ga-ga.
Perhaps I could build one from aluminium bits.
          I will search for them.

^^^if that's a 'value' one I'd hate to see the price of an expensive one!

            Nice idea though......
