winged black flies ?

Thought i'd try using a hot bed in the greenhouse to get some free heat, so I dug the existing soil out of the beds then filled them back up with willow chippings and well rotted pigeon muck and well rotted cow muck, the muck had been been kept in 5 gallon buckets with lids on, so iv'e finish up with loads of flies that seem to be breeding in the beds ! I tried to take photos but my camera isn't good enough ,ive googeled what I think they are and they could be fungus Nats or March flies ! well I took everything out of the green house and sprayed with ***** Fluid ! have I done enough or could anyone else come up with a better plan please ? atb Dal.

Compost gnats are easily avoided by keeping soil surfaces drier - by watering the pots from below, not above

I went up to my allotment early today and they seem to have gone ! the ejeys fluid may have done it !
two sheds iv'e now't planted in the soil just seed trayswith brasicas and beans , peas and onions in root trainers ,also peas in guttering that iv'e forgot to put back in *%+>< atb Dal.
