  • Replace lid of my heated propagator

Somehow I have acquired 3 long narrow heated propagator. One has been retrieved after years gathering the dust in the garage. I would like to use it to start off a few chilli plants. I've googled method and am all set. But none of my propagators has a cover.

Online I've seen a few covers but most are flimsy with no vents and they are more square than long and narrow.

Has anyone solved the problem diy or purchase. Thanks for your attention

Firstly welcome to the vine and secondly, do you know what manufacturer they are, if you could drop a tape measure over them, that would help too.

Hi and welcome. Garland do a range of long "windowsill" propagators. Is it one of theirs?

        Hello and welcome!

Sizes for the props would be good. But if you haven't got lids you can always cover the pot with cling film until the seeds have germinated. ...but it's a bit late to start off chillies from seed now I think?

I'd probably bodge lids together using galvanised wire and clingfilm - but my structures tend more to the useful than the beautiful ;-)
