Cucumbers amd shade

Hello
My greenhouse is hard up against a fence and is quite shaded at one end. If i put toms there, they either go spindly or try to walk down to the sun. If I put cucumbers there, how are there likely to do....?

I assume bell peppers will do even less well in the shade that cucumbers or tomatoes.

cucumbers will cope better with shade than tomatoes - they also prefer higher humidity - all things are relative of course, so too little sunlight can still be a problem.

There is sunlight there, just less of it.
I think it's been previously noted that putting them away from the door helps with the humidity, so that end looks like it's the best place for them

Misting the leaves once a day (or as often as possible) seems to really help cucumbers thrive.

This is a ridge type, grown in a large pot and the lower part is shaded by the tommies, being an outdoor variety, they don't seem to mind the same conditions that the tommies get, same variety produced nice cukes last year.

I find that peppers don't mind shade as long as they are warm. I lived in Spain and couldn't grow peppers in the veg patch but next to the house, in the shade of the trees I had pepper plants coming up on their own and giving peppers. Presumably from some unwanted seeds that got thrown away when hubby was barbecuing.

is it a marketmore 76? i have some growing in my greenhouse now, and they are growing like mad, my indoor variety never germinated, so I slapped some of these in instead, I think they where from one of the mags

I'm really impressed with them so far in the greenhouse, they are a bit spiky, but the spikes just rub off with some kitchen paper, the cucs taste really nice though, and are a nice firm and smooth texture
