Am I the only one who has plenty flowers on their tomato plants but hardly any fruit? I do have odd ones but they are small and most are appearing now and its July. I'm in Newcastle upon Tyne and the weather this year here hasn't been very good and had a lot of cloudy days compared to last year I was harvesting in June. I know the South has had high temps but sadly not here on most days.

Tomatoes in greenhouse not doing well

Doing ok here in the Midlands. Been eating tomatoes for about a month now. And looking like I'll have a bumper crop this year. Outside stuff is behind though. Not had a courgette yet. And my French and runner beans are just starting to crop
I guess it's paid off having the few weeks of heating in the greenhouse when we had that cold spell. In May and June. I Just wish I'd not planted my other stuff outside so soon

Even further south mine are outside, lots of buds but few flowers then yesterdays heat seems to have triggered a change so fingers crossed the chilly wind this morning stops and another scorcher happens. The best performing are the bushes whereas the cordons seem well behind.
I'm getting impatient.

i'm in Newcastle too. I seem to have healthy vigorous plants (£1 plugs from Wilkos so can't remember variety) but very few flowers (maybe three clusters on each plant), certainly not enough for it to be cheaper than just going and buying a punnet!
Although that's not really why I do it, hopefully they'll pick up. They're not in a greenhouse, but in a small and sheltered south-facing garden.

We're in Suffolk (but did visit the Newcastle area last week as it happens). It does feel a little late, but anyway yet again our spare tomatoe plants bunged in the ground on the allotment have again started ripening this week, as of yet no sigh that the molly coddled specemins in the greenhouse at home are going to do much. They are all from the same batches of seed/plantings.
This seems to be every year, so our early fruit are outdoors until the blight hits early September, while the greenhouse keeps us going much longer. Last year we picked the last tomatoes at the beginning of November and ripened them on the windowsill. We started buying them fresh again in December but had lots of frozen, chopped or sauced of our own for cooking.

Mine seem to be growing very tall and strongly, and I have quite a lot of small fruits that are still growing, but an absolute load of flowers still coming.
I guess it's no surprise with the cold spring.
I don't mind that they're a bit slow, I prefer to get a decent glut overall
