Would you believe me if I said I've only sown rocket, lettuce, landcress, Red Russian kale and some of the Oriental leaves like mustard once - a couple of years ago?
I leave some to flower, seed and resow themselves in situ.
Some of the lettuce started as a yellow stickered "Living salad" that I planted in the GH and left to do its own thing.
I pick them as individual leaves, not entire plants at once.
Its easy this way but its not for the "tidy" gardener who rips up plants once they start to flower.
