Wow thanks for that. I've now spent far too long reading your blog than is good for me, lol.
Where can I get the water pipe from do you know? Did you draw up plans for the tunnel beforehand?
yes I would like to know wher you bought the pipe, would you be able to post details of what you bought, as I would like to build another tunnel like that
You can get it from plumbers merchants, mine came second hand from a redundant pumping system at one of our disused quarries. Its not cheap to but but is significantly cheaper than a bought tunnel.
We have located the pipe but can't find any used scaffold poles, well, actually we found some poles but it would cost another 200 quid to get them delivered. Where did you get yours from? Will anything else do the trick do you think?

As you dont need long lengths of scaffold poles, and they cut quite easily with a hacksaw, can you not just saw them into the short lengths you require and carry them in a car??
Just a thought!

Well I'm wondering whether it'll be worth it as the place is down near London. Could do with somewhere more nearer the North. I'll keep searching. We've seen the ready to buy ones for about £500, but it's just got to be cheaper to build your own.
i've looked through your blog, the tunnel looks good.
i couldn't find any details as to material spec or sourcing.
apart from the blue pipe, which looks like mdpe
where did you get the poly sheet from & what size pipe is recommended?
Here's my mini tunnels that myself and OH built to combat this awful weather thats hitting us all at the moment.
.Got the blue water piping off ebay £4,bargin, polythene spare in garage and netting £3.99x2 from wilko's website, found this great to combat butterflies,(wish I knew about the netting before I got hit with the dam things Cabbage munched &destroyed by catapillars ) .
