You could always clean the drains with it?!

Hey, who says you have to drink it. Look what other fun can be had: YouTube - Diet Coke + Mentos

Bladdy right I had. Mine were rubbish last year - admittedly my first year, but still, how hard can it be?

I didn't get one 'mato last year, partly weather, partly my fault/circumstances. Never, ever had such a disastrous year. .

I've sent off for the book with the coke-bottle greenhouse in as it has other ideas as well. I'm on our council's "Working Party for Climate Change" and it might have a few more ideas.

I haven't managed to put up the greenhouse I got from Freecycle last April yet , but everyone seems to think I'll want another, so I can consider the coke-bottle one .

A wonderful school project I would think!

Only problem I could see is, aren't plastic bottles bio-degradable in sunlight? ie not ultra violet inhibited?

You would probably get six months during the summer from them but after that it would get rather drafty in the greenhouse! The 'glasing' is cheap to replace though!

I saw this and sent off for the plans last year (they are in one of our moving boxes still, no doubt)...
There was this plus a sort of bus shelter doobrie that they'd come up with. I think they'd got the kids to put it together as I remember. Most impressive stuff. Mind you, in our garden it would disappear into the next cow field within nanoseconds - the wind from the meadows behind us is rather powerful (and not just because of the cows)...
One day I'll get round to building it!

I was wondering the same Snadger - wouldn't the plastic get brittle really quickly? and I guess cleaning the thing might be a bit of a b*gger if it rains and bets mud etc on it?

Lovely idea though, just wonder how well it would actually work?

The wind blowing over the bottle tops could give some wonderful sound effects! A bit like a 'Pipes of Pan' greenhouse!

Would 1 gall.water bottles fit together better? I use them as cloches but have never thought of a greenhouse.
