  • How far would you go?

Just a quick post but how far would you be prepared to travel to dismantle/collect a secondhand greenhouse have been offered one but it is about an hours drive (50 miles)?

An hours drive is acceptable to me - I have been known to drive much further for less valuable things - depends really on how much you want something!

if it is free and one you want i think your time and cost is minimal compared to the greenhouse cost,
Go for it, i would, just think what you could grow in a greenhouse!!!

I'd go for it as long as you can do it in one or two trips. When I dismantled mine last year it took three trips and three days. Mindju I didn't have far to go. Haven't mantled it again yet, my eldest son is moving back to this area in February and taking a year off work (house husband) as his wife wants to get herself back into the working scene again. I've told him he is not allowed to laze about and he can help me with the lottie. He ummed and then said he thought it was a brill idea .

So it looks as if I've got my help to re-assemble the GH .
