It's the perennial problem. You think you've got enough room to grow, and then all of a sudden you need more space.

OH initially bought a 6' x 4' greenhouse. I asked him to wait until we could get a bigger greenhouse. He insisted that that was the greenhouse he wanted. Well it wasn't long before he agreed that I was right. (A first in 41 years of marriage)

Your enthusiasm will outgrow your space. But its wonderful growing.

We now have a 20' x 12' greenhouse, and we still struggle for space.

We have had some wonderful crops over the years.

The going out into the greenhouse/garden and picking something you have grown and eating it is indescribable. The taste, the satisfaction.

      You're not kidding valmarg!

The Bean bought me a greenhouse for my 40th birthday (it's 18' x 10') and it looked ENORMOUS when it first went up last April but, by the end of the growing season, I was wishing for another one at least as big (maybe for my 50th?).

Well done for getting OH to agree that you were correct though - a first for womankind maybe!

I had a look at the 'hot bench' last night and, even though we've been at -4 degrees for the best part of a week, all the little seedlings seem to be perfectly happy. I'm going to have to build some form of lid for it this weekend as the bubble wrap that I draped over it on Sunday is already touching some of the seedlings. I think Grow Your Own (or Kitchen Garden) magazine had a design in it last month ... back to the DIY shop this weekend!

      Cheers

One of OH's favourite sayings to me is "It's not very often you're right, Mrs, but you're wrong again"!!

Well, it keeps him happy, and I know he's wrong
