Setting automatic window openers

Advice please. I have recently had a new greenhouse installed and it has automatic roof and side vent openers. My question is, how does one go about setting them to the desired temperature, and what temperature would you set it for growing Toms, Cue's and of course seedlings.

You need to wait 'til it's warmer really - when it gets to the temperature required inside, set them so the vents are starting to open. It takes a few days to get it just right - but then you can just leave them. Mine open at about 20C. They were actually open last Saturday!!

Thanks for the info Srodders. Must be warming up a bit in Guernsey. I'll have to have a twiddle with the knob when it gets a bit warmer over here.

By the way, are we talking 20C at vent level?

I have a thermo on the bench behind some pots so it is a bit of shade - I go by what it reads and don't have any problems - never goes much above 30C, and never lost anything from too much heat.

Woke up to a frost this morning, but by lunchtime all vents were fully open. A nice sunny day.

using a thermometer when the temp is right adjust the knurled adjuster
so the vent is 3mm(1/8inch) open
thats what it say on the instructions that came with mine
the knurled adjuster is the nut you srew on the threded rod
at the end of the opener
